Christian Involvement Committee

Mission Statement:
The charge of the Christian Involvement Committee of St. James Parish is found in Chapter 25 of the Gospel of St. Matthew, verses 31-46.  Jesus presented to His disciples a list of challenges that are the Christian call of service to others.  He ended His "litany of service" with the words:

I tell you, indeed, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, you did it for me!

Our goal is to carry out this charge through involvement in the needs of the community on the parish, town, state, national and international levels and through the education of the parish to issues that need a genuine Christian response.

Meetings:
Meetings of the Christian Involvement Committee are held on the 1st Monday of each month at 6:30 in the lower church.  All parishioners are welcome to join us as regular members or periodically to share a concern.  Please feel free to come to any meeting to see what we are about.  Click here to view the 2006-2007 calendar.
